Who we work with

Electricity Economics Ltd. specialises in procurement of renewable generation, electricity market and regulatory design (particularly utilising Locational Marginal Pricing - LMP and Financial Transmission Rights - FTRs), regulatory and economic due diligence in the electricity industry, evaluation of electricity market performance, and detailed development of electricity market rules.

We have experience and expertise on the economics of virtually every economic and financial aspect of the electricity industry.

Who we work with

We partner worldwide with major investors in the power sector, developers of renewable power plants, electric utilities, regulatory authorities, ministries of energy, system operators, market commissions, market operators, single buyers, banks, and funding agencies such as the World Bank and Asian Development Bank regarding the procurement of renewable energy and the restructuring of electricity markets.

Who we are

Electricity Economics Ltd. is owned and managed by Hamish Fraser. He has worked in more than forty countries and in approximately twenty-five states of the US. He has led some of the world’s significant renewables procurement programmes and participated in others on the buy-side. He has led or otherwise participated in the design of electricity markets worldwide.

Mr. Fraser has specialised in providing advice to the international electricity industry for more than twenty-five years.
